Summary
artka.dev is the personal technical website of Artyom Kashuta. It does not sell personal data or use it to build advertising profiles. Most content can be read without creating an account. Artyom Kashuta is responsible for the site’s content and incoming enquiries and can be reached at a@artka.dev.
Data processed by the site
The site loads Plausible Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. It is configured without advertising cookies and is skipped when the browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Plausible receives the technical information needed to produce aggregate page-view statistics. Hosting and security systems may also temporarily process an IP address, User-Agent, requested URL, and request time in technical logs in order to deliver pages, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse.
Theme preferences and course progress are stored in your browser with
localStorage; interactive exercise answers may use sessionStorage. The chosen
language is stored in the lang-pref cookie. These values support site features
and are not an advertising profile. You can remove them in your browser settings,
although doing so may reset your theme, language, exercise state, or course
progress.
If a user signs in, Better Auth creates a session cookie and the server stores the
account and session records required for authentication. Completed lessons may be
synchronized to the database for an authenticated user so progress is available
across devices. An anonymous reader’s course progress remains in browser
localStorage.
External services and links
Comments use Giscus and GitHub Discussions. Loading or posting a comment sends data to Giscus/GitHub, where it is handled under their own terms and privacy policies. The site also links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Telegram, and other external resources. Following one of those links means interacting with a separate service whose practices are not controlled by artka.dev.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, the email address you enter and technical metadata associated with the subscription request are sent to Buttondown. The purpose is to manage the subscriber list and deliver artka.dev emails. Buttondown handles that information under its own privacy policy. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
If you send email, the mail providers involved process the sender address, headers, and message content. That information is used to understand and answer the enquiry, maintain the conversation, protect the service, and meet legitimate obligations. Do not include passwords, API keys, access tokens, or another person’s confidential data.
Questions, deletion, and updates
For questions about your information or a request to remove correspondence, email a@artka.dev from an address that can be connected to the enquiry. Some records may need to be retained for security or legal reasons. If the site’s analytics, storage, or third-party services change materially, this page and the date above will be updated.
